What you think of the site depends on why you're coming to the site in the first place.

If I'm just surfing the net looking for information about our next meeting, then it's fine. Front and center on the main page is all the information on the next meeting. Next, we want the casual surfer (CS) to join the mailing list, and the request to do so is on the left. That's okay, but the request should also appear prominently in the monthly notice. Meeting with Montgomery College

Jack Roof, Dick Davies and I went to the Germantown (MD) campus of Montgomery Community College April 30. We met with several professors there to discuss how we might develop a relationship with the College. We decided to start slow by getting the IT faculty on our mailing list. We also said their students are always welcome at our dinner meetings. We plan to make a greater effort for September as the spring semester is just about over.
